Latest reports from the field show that we’re making great progress in getting IHSS providers to begin the new enrollment process by June 30. With less than a week to go, reports indicate that fewer than 1,500 current IHSS Providers have not begun the process.  They must begin the process by June 30 and complete it by December 31 in order to continue being paid.   

According to the latest report on June 24.  a total of  1,425  providers in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Merced and El Dorado Counties have not started the enrollment process. We are awaiting information from Placer and Stanislaus. (NOTE: San Diego, Orange, Kern and Riverside Counties consider that all providers have begun the process because Provider Enrollment Packets were mailed to them by the county. However, UDW is still contacting providers to make sure they received the packets.)

While we’re pleased that nearly all providers have started the enrollment process and won’t lose their pay on July 1,  we should take nothing for granted.   If there is any question about whether you have begun the new enrollment process,  contact your county public authority or call UDW toll-free at 1-800-621-5016.
