ALL IHSS providers must review orientation materials as part of the new state mandated requirement, in order to continue receiving their paycheck.   Consumers are  also impacted by the new rules, yet are not given the same opportunity to view these materials. The video linked below, is only a part of the package shown to all providers as part of the new Provider Orientation mandate.  The strict time-for-task measures detailed in this video impact both IHSS consumers and providers.  Since consumers are also legally responsible under the new law (by signature on the time card, and with threat of prosecution) for any variation to these rules, we feel that both consumers and providers should be given the chance to view the video.
