IHSS is vital key not just for our elderly and disadvantaged families, but for our society as well.   There are many families still not even aware that IHSS is available for them. Nor are they educated to know the many provisions they could acquire assistance from IHSS. There many elderly and disadvantaged people, without family, who are also in desperate need of IHSS.

IHSS is vital for many families needs. Without IHSS our elderly and disadvantaged that have families and those who do not have anyone, their quality of life would only worsen in the most devastating way. They become are our most “treasured jewels” that we often do not hear about.

1. They have inappropriate diet.
2. They eat little to nothing.
3. They have no medical attention.
4. They are reclusive.
5. They are afraid.
6. They fend for themselves in the most horrible conditions.
7. They do not know that they do have a voice.
8. They believe there is no one to speak for them.

IHSS can evaluate and meet these needs on a daily basis.
IHSS can perform the every day needs for their loved ones.
IHSS can setup a provider to relieve an in-home family member on as needed basis.

The elderly and disadvantaged persons will have purpose back in their life. The families would feel secure and would be guilt-free to pursue their daily routines in their own way of life.

IHSS is unfortunately not available to all our elderly and disadvantaged family members who have assets. Yet, these same families financially receive in Social Security Insurance much less than the norm to qualify for IHSS care.
IHSS is the most emotional, physical, and exhausting labor of love bestowed among us, the providers.

Our elderly and disadvantaged families deserve our care that we can provide for them. It is our privilege to care for them.
