What a Difference a Day Makes
The California Discharge Planning Cooperative released the following two part report today (February 15, 2011) that estimates, “Cutting Avoidable Hospital Readmissions in California by Just One Day Could Save Medicare and Medi-Cal $227 Million.” The report suggests that part of the savings be used to fund IHSS.
