Update: CDSS to conduct public meeting on IHSS fraud April 19, 2011

The  California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is conducting a public meeting to share the progress and initial recommendations of the In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program Integrity and Fraud Prevention State and County Government Workgroup — and obtain public input.

UDW encourages consumers and providers of IHSS to take part in this call. 

  • The stakeholder meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • The meeting will be at the Secretary of State’s office, 1500 11th Street, Sacramento, CA.

Stated Purpose:
To inform and engage the public stakeholders of the progress made by the Program Integrity State and County Government Stakeholders Workgroup and to receive input, comments and questions on concepts for statewide coordination, unannounced home visits and targeted mailings.

Proposed Outcomes:
Gain public stakeholder perspective to build a common understanding and further improve the concepts for statewide coordination, unannounced home visits and targeted mailings.

Key concepts being discussed include issues related to IHSS program integrity, statewide coordination and communication, unannounced home visits and targeted mailings.  The meeting format will be brief panel presentations followed by a question and answer and comment period..
