A lot has been going on in the Capitol in recent weeks. Last week, Democrats passed an alternative budget, which was later vetoed by the Governor, who plans to continue reaching out to Republican legislators in hopes of extending existing revenue streams as part of his plans for a compromise budget. 

 Join HHS for our next STATEWIDE BRIEFING CALL as we discuss next steps and other important developments in our ongoing budget advocacy work. 

We’ll also be joined by special guest JEAN ROSS of the California Budget Project who will discuss key points for advocates to look out for when evaluating a spending cap.
