UDW’s Merced County Celebrated its First Annual Harvest Health and Resource Fair October, 27th

The Lao family performed a traditional Hmong dance at UDW's Merced County First Annual Harvest Health and Resource Fair. Dancers dressed in resplendent colorful, and elaborate costumes. This was truly a beautiful performance.

The weather was spectacular for the Merced Harvest Fair and so was the community spirit! People from throughout Merced enjoyed sharing the beautiful fall day with old friends while making new friends! You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Saturday at the Merced Court House Square Park! The inaugural event was attended by more than one hundred homecare providers, family, UDW staff and community supporters.

The Harvest Fest offered food, fun and entertainment, including face painting, raffle prizes and zumba dancing. Vendors were also on hand with important information to help providers stay active and informed..

UDW thanks all the volunteers and vendors who made our
first Harvest Fair a great success.

UDW-endorsed State Assembly Candidate Adam Gray addressed the crowd at the Harvest Health and Resource Fair.

Square dance troupe Boots & Slippers of Merced square dance performed at the fair.

UDW Merced County Homecare Provider Sylvia Prieto volunteered her time at the check-in booth. “They say time is the most priceless gift someone can give to another person," she said. (l to r) Sylvia Prieto, UDW Staff members Nicole Milton and Tamir Luqman.
