Telephone town hall welcomes newest UDW members and gives important overtime update

Yesterday, we hosted a tele-town hall to welcome our sisters and brothers from CUHW into the UDW family. About 1,600 providers participated in the call, and 200 viewed our livestream. With the help of our host, UDW’s Organizing and Field Services Director Matthew Maldonado, we discussed our UDW member benefits, heard an update on overtime pay for IHSS providers, and talked about our campaign to end the 7% cut permanently.

Our speakers, UDW Executive Director Doug Moore, President Editha Adams, Legislative Director Kristina Bas Hamilton, and Tuolumne County IHSS provider Lori LaScola took questions from members throughout the town hall.
