We have people ready to answer
your questions.
UDW encourages the participation of our members in the many aspects
of our work together, and we know that sometimes you need specific
answers to your questions. Our toll free hotline is there
to help you with answers to things like:

- Why is there
a particular deduction on my paycheck?
- Am I a union member?
- Am I eligible for health care (medical) benefits?
- How can I have my client's hours increased (or re-instated if they were
cut)?
- How do I contact my local IHSS social worker?
- How can I get another home care worker to come in when I need time off?
- Can I get a second client?
Our Member Communications Center also takes a pro-active
role. We call you when something is going on in your county, like voting on a new contract, new wages taking effect, or when you become eligible for health insurance.
Dial 1 (800) 621-5016 toll free
and
ask for the Member Communication Center
We have Spanish and Vietnamese speaking personnel.
You can also get personal attention on your question by email: mcc_hotline@udwa.org

Would you like other home care workers to hear your story, or
would you like to read what other workers and clients think?
Go to our Opinions & Letters Page
Network with other home care workers in
your local area. Hold
a meeting in your home, or come to a local union meeting. Contact
us so we can help to set this up.
