you have become a member you have many privileges that you might
not be aware of.
Being a member costs no more than
not being a member. Being a union member automatically

Why We Offer Benefits
Why does UDW/AFSCME provide benefits for union members and their families?
We offer benefits to members because the programs help union
members and their families in their daily lives, resulting in
greater overall satisfaction with the union. Through AFSCME Advantage,
members are able to save time and money at home, when they're
off the job.
Of course, you may be wondering whether it's the union's place
to endorse the Union Privilege benefits. But when you consider
that unions originally were created to serve as "benefit societies" for
members — or as cradle-to-grave providers — then
it's only natural that AFSCME Advantage should follow labor's "benefit-providing" tradition.
Remember, with the AFSCME Advantage benefits, union membership
doesn't cost, it pays.
